Immigration Psychological Evaluations

Compassionate, Culturally Responsive Evaluations to Support Your Immigration Case

At WaterYourFire Wellness Collective, we provide comprehensive immigration psychological evaluations that honor the strength and resilience of your story. These evaluations can play a vital role in supporting immigration cases by documenting the emotional, psychological, and relational impact of your experiences.

Our assessments are trauma-informed, culturally grounded, and tailored to each individual or family’s unique background and circumstances. We work collaboratively with clients and their attorneys to ensure reports are thorough, timely, and clear in addressing the relevant legal criteria.

Types of Evaluations

We provide expert evaluations for a range of immigration cases, including:

  • Asylum (I-589): For individuals seeking safety from persecution or trauma in their home country.

  • Hardship Waivers (I-601 / I-601A): To demonstrate the emotional and psychological hardship a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident would experience if separated from a loved one.

  • VAWA (Violence Against Women Act): For people of any gender who have experienced domestic violence and are seeking safety and independence.

  • U Visa: For individuals who have experienced qualifying crimes and cooperated with law enforcement.

  • T Visa: For survivors of human trafficking seeking stability and healing.

These are examples of the evaluations we offer, but we also provide assessments for other immigration-related cases. Please reach out to discuss your specific needs.

Our Evaluation Process

We understand that sharing your story can be difficult. Our goal is to create a safe, affirming environment where you feel heard and supported.
Here’s what you can expect:

  1. Consultation: We’ll discuss your needs, case type, and timeline to determine the best approach.

  2. Assessment: You’ll meet with a licensed clinician for 1–2 in-depth interviews (via telehealth). We may use standardized psychological measures as appropriate.

  3. Collaboration: With your consent, we coordinate with your attorney to ensure all relevant questions are addressed.

  4. Report Delivery: You’ll receive a detailed, professionally written evaluation that speaks to your strengths, experiences, and psychological well-being.
